We are currently seeking someone who is willing to work in our Palm Beach Gardens region.\n\nPrimary responsibilities:\nAssist with jobsite safety inspections and hazard identification to help maintain a safe work environment \nSupport implementation of the project safety plan and Wharton-Smith safety policies \nMonitor jobsite activities to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices \nAssist with documentation of incidents, near-misses, and safety observations \nSupport safety meetings and safety training initiatives \nMaintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation \nOther tasks as directed by the Safety Manager or project leadership team\nTechnical skills:\nBasic knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards \nAbility to perform jobsite safety inspections and hazard recognition \nFamiliarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and enforcement \nUnderstanding of incident reporting and investigation procedures \nAbility to review and support site-specific safety plans (SSSP) \nExperience maintaining safety documentation, reports, and compliance records \nBasic knowledge of construction processes and jobsite operations \nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for safety reporting \nAbility to track and analyze safety metrics and observations\nQualifications: \nBasic knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards \nOSHA 10-hour certification preferred (OSHA 30 a plus) \nAbility to work in a construction jobsite environment \nStrong written and verbal communication skills \nHigh level of attention to detail \nProfessionalism and accountability \nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) \nAbility to observe, identify, and document safety hazards \nStrong organizational and record-keeping skills \nAbility to work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors \nWillingness to learn and support construction safety programs and initiatives.\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disability\nWharton-Smith provides equal opportunity to qualified disabled veterans, Pre-JVA special disabled veterans and individuals with disabilities to online application systems by making reasonable accommodation to ensure equal access for submitting to job openings.
