Through your work, you’ll help Make a Difference by uncovering opportunities that improve business outcomes, Serve with Heart by supporting teams with reliable data and actionable insights, Win as One through collaboration across functions and projects, and Move Forward Boldly by exploring innovative tools, technologies, and analytical approaches that help drive continuous improvement.\nDay-to-Day Ingredients - Responsibilities\nAs a Data Scientist Intern, you will:\nAssist in developing proof-of-concept data models and analytical solutions.\nWrite, test, and maintain Python code for data analysis and modeling projects.\nQuery and extract data using SQL to support reporting and business initiatives.\nClean, structure, and prepare data from multiple sources for analysis.\nSupport feature engineering and dataset development efforts.\nUtilize tools such as Git, notebooks, and cloud platforms to support development workflows.\nDocument code, processes, and project outcomes to promote knowledge sharing.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate on sprint-based project work.\nWhat You Bring to the Table - Required Experience\nAs a Data Scientist Intern, you must have:\nCurrent enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program.\nCompletion of at least 80 college credit hours.\nFoundational knowledge of Python programming.\nBasic understanding of SQL and data querying concepts.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nExtra Toppings - Desired Experience\nAs a Data Scientist Intern, we prefer you to have:\nCoursework in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.\nExperience working with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or scikit-learn.\nExposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\nFamiliarity with machine learning concepts and predictive modeling.\nExperience using Git or other version control tools.\nExposure to cloud-based analytics or development platforms.\nExperience working on team projects using Agile methodologies.\nCuriosity for emerging technologies and data-driven innovation.\nWhere & How You’ll Work\nThis role is based at the San Antonio Home Office, working on-site Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays. In this role, you’ll have strong collaboration with leadership, across cross-functional teams, and with external partners to align capabilities with restaurant realities. The work environment is fast-paced and requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration skills. Full-time availability is required, with occasional extended hours based on business needs, along with occasional travel to properties, project sites, and external meetings.
