The Field Service Technician performs repairs and maintenance on all models of Caterpillar engines, equipment, and dealer support equipment at assigned field locations outside of the shop. This role works safely and uses the appropriate tools and software to complete assigned tasks.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nFollow the Safety Program to prevent injury and accidents, using safety tooling, attending safety meetings, always wearing proper PPE, seeking out and controlling workplace hazards.\nConduct repairs on assigned jobs for all makes and models of equipment.\nContribute positively to the team environment; being a team player, self-starter, driven, positive, willing to learn, humble, responsible\nAttend all team meetings.\nOperate forklifts safely.\nProperly and safely operate truck equipped cranes. \nProperly and safely operate heavy equipment.\nClean and organize assigned truck and equipment. \nUtilize job related software; including but not limited to; SIS, CAT ET, DBS, ServiceLink, and Time Collection.\nInput repair information.\nUtilize diagnostic software.\nBe able to properly and accurately use precision measuring instruments.\nTrack work hours.\nComplete service reports.\nOrder necessary parts to compete the job correctly.\nContribute to improvement initiatives, submitting process improvement ideas.\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent.\nJourneyman level shop technician or 5 years equivalent level experience. \nFlawless motor vehicle driver record. \nAble to repair engines, including Tier 4 Final systems, conduct engine failure analysis, repair fuel and lubrication systems, perform fluid sampling.\nTroubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.\nTroubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.\nRemove, install, test, adjust, troubleshoot, repair and replace powertrain systems.\nAble to safely climb up and down equipment.\nComputer and technological literacy.\nBasic hand tooling and drive tooling up to ¾”.\nWriting and grammar skills.\n_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
