These activities include, but are not limited to, processing the weekly and biweekly payrolls, maintaining employee records, and reconciling payroll benefits.\nThis position is onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah, Monday through Friday.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nProcess multi-state payroll for multiple companies on a weekly and biweekly basis\nProcess off-cycle and post only checks, as needed \nAdhere to union contract as it pertains to payroll\nAdhere to federal, state, and local laws\nKeep current with federal, state, and local laws\nEnsure compliance with wage garnishments\nReconcile retirement, FSA, and HSA contributions each payroll\nReconcile voluntary benefit deductions each month\nCompile union pension reports each month\nAnswer payroll related questions in a timely and professional manner\nAdminister leave of absence programs\nMaintain employee data and records\nMaintain and reconcile paid leave records\nCollaborate with HR and Benefits to ensure accuracy of benefit deductions\nMaintain a high level of confidentiality\nComplete employee verification requests\nPartner with accounting to resolve any payroll general ledger questions\nProvide back-up for essential functions of manager\nPerforms all other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nExperience with a multi-company payroll/HRIS platform; Paylocity strongly preferred \nThree to five years of related payroll experience\nKnowledge of payroll concepts (garnishments, tax laws, final pay rules, etc..)\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail\nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines\nOutstanding verbal and written communication skills\nStrong analytic and problem-solving skills\nComfortable in a growing organization with shifting organizational needs. \nCan work independently\nCan maintain confidentiality\nSelf-Starter\nOrganized\nIntermediate accounting\nAdvanced Excel \n__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
