Safely perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar types of equipment. Help minimize customer equipment downtime. Gain experience and exposure to Caterpillar systems and repairs.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nUtilize and comply with company and customer site safety programs, processes and procedures.\nAdhere to company and site lock-out-tag-out requirements.\nCommunicate with supervisor and Wheeler Machinery personnel daily. \nAbility to diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems. \nAccurately and effectively identify and order replacement parts and components.\nProduce quality repairs while adhering to schedules and deadlines.\nUnderstand and meet flat-rate expectations. \nDeliver accurate and timely service reports, core returns and warranty documents.\nMaintain a professional and proper personal appearance following company policy.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned. \nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \nAdvanced equipment and diesel repair experience.\nExperienced with safely diagnosing, maintaining, repairing Caterpillar mining equipment.\nProficient with Caterpillar service software programs e.g., Cat Electronic Technician, SIS Web, DBS and SIMSI\nMust have necessary hand, pneumatic and electrical diagnostic tools (up to ¾” drive).\nAbility and willingness to work closely with customers and a team. \nWilling to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as needed.\nAttention and focus on detail and quality.\nMaintain a clean work area and contamination control expectations. \nSelf-motivated and able to always work safely with limited supervision.\nAbility to communicate effectively.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n3-5 years experience \n__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
