Conduct performance reviews, recommend salary adjustments, and counsel staff toward optimum performance.\nManage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and workers’ compensation.\nManage talent acquisition, onboarding and orientation programs to ensure successful employee integration.\nManage learning and development and succession planning initiatives.\nProvide managers with guidance and advice regarding performance management and workplace issues.\nManage leave of absence, CFRA/FMLA, ADA, COBRA, unemployment claims, and other employment-related programs.\nIn partnership with the VP/Chief Administrative Officer, develop department budget and ensure budgeted goals are achieved within parameters.\nDevelop and maintain human resources procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with employment and wage and hour laws and regulations.\nParticipate in audits, regulatory reviews, and risk management activities.\nOther duties as assigned.\nJob descriptions are not intended to be and should not be construed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents, nor do they constitute an employment contract. Further, job descriptions do not represent a complete list of all the performance expectations and characteristics of individuals required to perform a job adequately.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field plus five years of progressive Human Resources experience, including three years of direct supervisory responsibility.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent with 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience will be considered in lieu of postsecondary education.\nSHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.\nStrong knowledge of local, California, and federal laws and regulations applicable to wage and hour, employment, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action.\nAbility to research, collect, and analyze data, make decisions, and develop programs based on findings.\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to maintain the highly confidential nature of the human resources function.\nKnowledge and understanding of the mission and vision of the Credit Union.
