This role oversees audits, regulatory reporting, and technical accounting matters while identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance controls, and support business growth through strong financial leadership and cross-functional partnership.\nSection: As a Manager, Accounting You Will:\nLead and develop the Accounting team, providing coaching, performance management, and oversight of day-to-day accounting operations.\nManage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.\nReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting activities to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.\nPrepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP and J-GAAP requirements.\nEnsure compliance with internal controls and J-SOX requirements, partnering with control owners to address risks and strengthen processes.\nCoordinate and support external audits, quarterly reviews, regulatory examinations, and other compliance-related activities.\nResearch and apply accounting guidance for new transactions, business initiatives, and emerging accounting standards.\nPartner with Finance and cross-functional business leaders to provide accurate financial information and support informed decision-making.\nIdentify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the quality of financial reporting.\nSupport the Controller on special projects, strategic initiatives, and organizational priorities while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.\nOther job duties as assigned.\nMeasuring Your Momentum (Success Metrics):\nFirst 90 Days - Getting Up To Speed\nBuild strong relationships with the Accounting team, Finance leadership, auditors, and key business partners.\nDevelop a thorough understanding of MMNA’s accounting processes, financial reporting requirements, systems, and control environment.\nTransition ownership of month-end close activities and core accounting operations from the existing team.\nBecome proficient in MMNA’s financial reporting processes, reconciliation procedures, and compliance requirements.\nEstablish yourself as a trusted resource for accounting guidance and cross-functional collaboration.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance team effectiveness.\nSuccessfully transition into managing the day-to-day accounting function with minimal leadership support.\nYear 1 Victory Lap\nIndependently lead MMNA's accounting and financial reporting function with minimal leadership oversight.\nConsistently deliver accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting.\nMaintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, J-GAAP, and J-SOX requirements, with no significant control deficiencies.\nSuccessfully support external audits, regulatory reporting, and tax-related requirements.\nDevelop a high-performing Accounting team while building strong partnerships across the business.\nDrive process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve reporting quality.\nReady to Join The Team? The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
