This is an onsite role at our St. Joseph Tech Center in Michigan.\nThe Color Development Engineer (Associate, Engineering) is responsible for the coordination and implementation of new color projects supporting both new and existing products across Make and OEM.\nThe Color Development Engineer coordinates technical activities, leads / tracks developments, and provides technical support to stakeholders.\nYour responsibilities will include\nThe Color Development Engineer:\nIs responsible to deliver new colors across the KASA (KitchenAid Small Appliances) portfolio\nLead development of new powder paint colors for Greenville Make products partnering with Manufacturing, Design and Suppliers\nDevelop and execute new color test plans coordinating with internal and external lab partners\nDeliver PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and GPA (Global Product Approval) for new powder paints\nIdentify and drive quality and cost improvement projects in partnership with Greenville Paint team\nEnsure alignment to the Color Strategy while balancing part number complexity at Greenville\nCoordinate and support development of new powder paint and in-mold plastic colors for OEM products\nDevelop subject matter expertise and serve as the technical lead for color approval processes (C0 initiation to C2 approval)\nMinimum requirements\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Technology\n3+ months of Engineering experience (experience may include Internships, co-ops, or lab application)\nPreferred skills and experiences\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science\nProblem-solving approach with OPEX (Operational Excellence) or Six Sigma certification\nHands-on experience in the design and development of consumer products\nAbility to clearly communicate technical concepts at a high level and in depth\nActively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles\nWhat we offer\nGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
