More information is available atwww.india.whirlpool.in\nThe team you will be a part of\nThe Electrical Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development of components, small systems, quality systems, processes or materials.\nThis role in summary\nLead and Drive Embedded System deliverables including Software, Hardware for Whirlpool’s Tech Stack strategy workstream & ADI projects. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives with speed, quality, and efficiency. Bringing good practices for driving continuous improvement in existing processes.\nYour responsibilities will include\nPlan and execute end to end development projects, defining milestones, timelines, and resource allocation to achieve project objectives efficiently.\n\nWork closely with Software, Hardware, Wiring Harness, Electromechanical, GSS, Architects, Platform leaders closely to define & deliver project objectives.\n\nLead technical discussion with external & internal stakeholders to define tech stack strategy for Whirlpool’s future designs.\n\nPro-active knowledge documentation and sharing within team and amongst cross technology teams\n\nCollaborate closely with the software engineering team to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.\n\nConduct thorough hardware testing and validation to ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of the hardware designs.\n\nConduct subsystem design reviews interfacing with leadership and cross functional for gaining alignment at each build.\n\nMake strategic decisions regarding component selection, sourcing, and vendor relationships to optimize cost, quality, and availability.\n\nOptimize hardware designs for power efficiency, performance, and manufacturability.\n\nAddress technical challenges and roadblocks, proposing innovative solutions and leading the team to successful outcomes.\n\nMaintain a strong awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded hardware development.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and manufacturing, to ensure successful product launches.\n\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the engineering team.\n\nMinimum requirements\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering\n\nMinimum 10-15 years of experience in household appliance/consumer electronics hardware development, circuit design and verification (microcontrollers, mixed-signal components, motor controls and AC to DC power conversion, Power Electronics)\n\nProven expertise in designing digital and analog circuits, schematic capture, and PCB layout.\n\nExtensive knowledge of microcontrollers/microprocessors and various embedded systems architectures.\n\nStrong familiarity with communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, and wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.).\n\nPreferred skills and experiences\nExtraordinary Performance - Highly Effective Organization that Consistently Delivers Results, Drive Key Organization Design and Effectiveness Opportunities to Positively Impact Business and Financial Performance’.\n\nGreat People - Robust and Diverse Talent and Leadership Pipeline for the Future, Develop the Critical Capabilities.\n\n5+ years of experience project management, technical leadership in development, testing and implementation of large scale, complex technology projects or equivalent\n\nPreferred (not required) Skills:\nFamiliarity with mechanical design, CAD, plastics molding and materials preferred\n\nProduct validation experience, PCB and product manufacturing process knowledge is a plus\n\nConnect with us and learn more about Whirlpool India.
