Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.\nThis role in summary\nTo be successful in this role you will work with our design engineers and various toolshops around the world to lock in a design that meets the needs of the design intent and also meet the needs of the manufacturing plant with regards to standards, expected uptime, etc. Some travel will be required.\nYour responsibilities will include\nLeading projects to specify/purchase new large stamping dies in support of major program launches\nLeading changes to existing tools to support cost and quality initiatives\nCommunicating project updates to all levels of the organization \nLeading toolshop to provide a design that Transforms print tolerances into a repeatable/robust stamping tool\nMaintaining/updating/ submitting project documentation for each new tool. e.g. FMEA, NP stores load sheets, Purchased component listing etc\nMinimum requirements\n3+ years in tooling space\nBachelors Degree in Engineering \nPreferred skills and experiences\n5 years manufacturing experience\nExperience in Manufacturing \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nBackground in leading the implementation of new large metal stamping dies\nExperience using 3D software e.g. solid works, pro E etc\nAdditional information\nWhirlpool’s Ways of Working\nOur goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
