Additional information about the company can be found at WhirlpoolCorp.com.\nThe team you will be a part of\nThe Electrical Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development of components, small systems, quality systems, processes or materials.\nThis role in summary\nThe Senior Engineer, Product Testing, will utilize engineering principles to establish functional tests for manufactured appliances. They will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that Whirlpool delivers World Class Quality appliances to customers.\nYour responsibilities will include\nManages testing process to ensure comprehensive documentation and coverage of unit functional test requirements\nWorks across multiple appliance categories to ensure best practices are consistently applied to all functional test methods.\nFollows Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) defined process to ensure vertical startup and world class quality for all new product introductions.\nProvides Testing Engineer coverage for Marion, OH Operations and across any category to ensure timely project delivery during high demand periods or extended absences (sabbatical, paternity leave, sick leave, etc).\nDocument and upkeep of the comprehensive test process for engineers to follow to ensure best practices, stakeholder involvement and all deliverables are met.\nInterfaces with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to coordinate all priorities into test methods. \nSupports day-to-day operations by providing technical expertise in manufacturing based testing processes.\nProvides input into new equipment acquisition projects to ensure all testing equipment is consistent and capable of required functionality.\nMinimum requirements\n4 year Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Computer Science, or Technology) \n3+ years experience in technical manufacturing implementation and execution\nExperience with electronic equipment and manufacturing testing functions\nPreferred skills and experiences\nElectronic system troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment\nPLC programming experience with Rockwell or Siemens software (Studio 5000 and TIA Portal)\nExperience with statistical processes for data driven decision-making (ANOVA, MSA, SPC) \nExperience with servers & data storage (SQL, Ignition, OPC)\nAbility to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of motivation and productivity without direct supervision\nAdditional information\nWhirlpool’s Ways of Working\nOur goal is to provide an environment that helps you bring your best to Whirlpool every day.
