This role is central to establishing how this is implemented and scaled across teams.\nYou will work upstream in planning and design, shape how testing is approached, and ensure that teams implement quality in a scalable and maintainable way\nResponsibilities\nOwn the quality approach within your squad, defining testing strategy based on product risk, system complexity, and delivery goals\n\nDrive quality upstream by working closely with Product and Engineering during scoping and refinement to ensure requirements are testable and well-defined\n\nEnable teams to own testing by guiding engineers in designing and implementing automated tests across different layers and ensuring testing is integrated into development workflows\n\nShape how automation is implemented by defining testing patterns, boundaries, and contracts, ensuring automation is structured and maintainable\n\nContribute hands-on where needed through exploratory testing in complex or high-risk areas and closing critical gaps pragmatically\n\nEnsure effective use of tooling and platform capabilities by driving adoption of shared frameworks, CI/CD practices, and quality standards\n\nProvide clear visibility into quality by surfacing risks, trade-offs, and coverage gaps to support informed decisions\n\nContribute beyond your team by sharing practices and helping raise overall quality maturity across teams\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or QA within cross-functional teams\n\nExperience working on complex systems (e.g. APIs, distributed systems, or multi-layer applications)\n\nStrong understanding of testing across different levels (unit, integration, end-to-end)\n\nPractical experience with test automation and how it fits into modern development workflows\n\nExperience working in environments where teams own testing and quality\n\nAbility to guide teams on structuring test coverage and making pragmatic quality decisions\n\nExperience working with CI/CD and continuous delivery environments\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to influence engineers and product stakeholders\n\nSound judgment in balancing quality, speed, and risk\n\nNice to have\nExperience building or maintaining automated test suites\n\nFamiliarity with modern testing frameworks and tooling (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, Postman or similar)\n\nExperience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines\n\nExposure to test data management, mocking, or service virtualization\n\nWorking knowledge of a programming or scripting language (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python)\n\nExperience working in cloud-based or distributed environments\n\nHow We Work\nTeams own quality\n\nTesting is integrated into development, not a separate phase\n\nAutomation is a means to scale, not an end in itself\n\nPlatform teams provide tooling and infrastructure; squads apply it\n\nQuality is driven by engineering discipline and product understanding\n\nWe are exploring AI-assisted and agentic approaches to testing and quality as part of evolving how quality is engineered\n\nWhat We Offer\nContract-based, full-time role (40 hours/week, depending on workload) with a long-term commitment.\n\n100% remote work.\n\nJoin a supportive and dynamic team.
