Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend.\nWe have Quality Technician positions available on first and second shift.\nSecond Shift: Monday through Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm\n*Overtime and weekend work may be required. \nWhat you'll Do:\nThe Quality Technician is responsible for providing initial support to Receiving, Manufacturing, and Shipping for quality-related issues that arise. The Quality Technician also performs product and process audits throughout the facility.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.\nMonitors products to ensure quality standards are met\nResponds to radio calls to help identify and document non-conforming product\nPerforms floor audits to verify part quality, in-process quality, and assists in process improvements\nTroubleshoots particularly complex or troublesome production problems; e.g., manufacturing process variation\nCollects and disposes of scrap, as appropriate\nTrains team members on standard work instructions and procedures, ensuring effective results\nPrepares and maintains efficiency, scrap, and test data for review\nAssists with product Quality Assurance testing\nAssists the Quality Engineer with new product introductions\nSupports and participates in process improvement activities\nDemonstrates the willingness and ability to perform all functions of the process including, but not limited to, assembly, Quality Control Analysis, pack-off, shipping, and recon of the product\nCommunicates between departments and shifts, sharing pertinent information to optimize plant results\nPerforms all duties, specified and otherwise, in a safe, constructive manner \nWill perform additional responsibilities when required\nRequirements\n What you Bring:\nHigh school education or a two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience is required\nAn excellent attendance record is required because the department is small and impactful\nMust have MS Word, Excel, and/or Google Suite experience\nMust be a team player with a positive attitude\nMust be an efficient worker who is organized and detail-oriented\nAble to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment \nAble to manage time effectively, with minimal oversight\nAn ability to provide and accept coaching, direction, and feedback in a constructive manner\nA willingness to hold oneself and others accountable to standards and expectations\nAble to follow directions, use hand and power tools\nMaintains confidentiality of proprietary information\nAbility to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions\nA high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others\nAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues\nComfortable with office pets (cats, dogs) \nNot Required but Nice to Have!\nQuality Technician experience in a high-volume production environment, preferably within consumer electronics\nASQ Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Improvement Associate\nLean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt Certification\nNot required to have pets, but highly recommended!\nPrevious experience in plastic injection molding and printed circuit board manufacturing\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands described here represent those that a Team Member must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
