You will be your true self and bring out the best in others too.\nPRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB\nThe Shop Manager position holds overall responsibility for their shop. Taking ownership and the initiative to drive performance through managing KPIs, ensuring customers have the best possible shopping experience, developing the team and ensuring White Stuff’s presence in the local community.\nWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING\nYou’ll report to your Area Manager and sit within our Retail team.\nCustomer Experience\nTraining, driving, and coaching the team to deliver an amazing instore customer experience in line with our pillars (Be Friendly, Be Valuable, Be Inspiring) throughout the Customer Journey.\n\nEnsuring the team meets customer needs through multichannel shopping and endless aisle orders.\n\nEnsuring customers are engaged with our brand through email newsletter sign ups, purchase tagging, and e-receipts.\n\nProduct Presentation and Visual Standards\nEvaluating floor layout and sales trends regularly, taking action to ensure the shop floor responds to commercial opportunity.\n\nEnsuring the team understand the features of our products and can explain these to our customers to support their styling and purchase decisions.\n\nEnsuring that product and shop standards are excellent and maintained at all times.\n\nImplementing brand VM standards and layouts within the shop and making placement decisions to best suit shop, market and customer.\n\nCreating a commercial environment in the shop where the team consistently evaluates the floor layout and KPIs and takes appropriate action to ensure the shop floor is responding to commercial opportunities.\n\nEvaluating shop product package and feeding back to Area Manager any commercial opportunities.\n\nEnsuring stock levels are optimised for sales opportunities and liasing with Merchandising to influence.\n\nCommercial Management\nUnderstanding commercial opportunities for your shop and maximising these to increase sales. Coaching the team to also understand and implement these opportunities.\n\nEnsuring that the shop is working within the budgets set\n\nLeading the coordination of promotions, incentives, and key trading weekS\n\nPeople Management and Development\nUsing the Learning and Development and operational tools provided to develop the team’s knowledge and skillset, and help them reach their individual potential.\n\nCreating a positive team atmosphere in the shop which is focused on delivering results.\n\nLeading team briefs to ensure the team are set up with the knowledge and the motivation needed to achieve targets.\n\nEnsuring staff planning is effective to ensure that the right people are in the right places at the right times.\n\nPlaying a key part in setting team objectives to ensure the team are working together to achieve goals.\n\nAttracting, recruiting and retaining high calibre team members.\n\nEngaging with succession planning to ensure that we are growing our own talent.\n\nActively seeking opportunities in the local area that could benefit the shop such local events.\n\nEnsures the team receives regular praise and feedback to support their engagement and continuous development.\n\nLeading annual and interim reviews for the team, with objectives monitored throughout the year.\n\nShop Operations\nLeading efficient and accurate delivery and replenishment processes.\n\nPlaying a key role in organising stocktake and ensuring an accurate reconciliation.\n\nEnsuring that ship from store and Click and Collect processes are managed effectively by the team.\n\nBeing a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.\n\nLeading Health and Safety processes within the shop and ensuring team compliance.\n\nDeveloping professional relationships with other teams and areas of the business.\n\nDoing Good Stuff\nLiving our Values, making sure these are alive in the shop.\n\nHolding an awareness of our charity partner and the positive impact this has including supporting any events or charity promotions.\n\nUnderstanding our approach to ethical sourcing and environmental impact to be able to explain this to our customers and the team.\n\nWHAT WE’LL OFFER YOU\nAs a Shop Manager at White Stuff you will be entitled to an array of great benefits, some of which include:\nQuarterly bonus opportunity\n\nUp to 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays\n\n2 extra (paid!) days off per year to volunteer in the local community\n\n50% discount and a uniform per annum\n\nBUPA Medical and Dental Insurance\n\nHealthcare cash plan and Life Assurance\n\nInterest free season ticket loan\n\nPension Contribution\n\nWe are committed to creating an environment where we can all be proud to work and be ourselves.
