You will be at minimum a part-qualified accountant. levels.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage and oversee the organisation’s month-end reporting process, including the preparation, review and consolidation of monthly management accounts.\nPerform balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy\nAllocate departmental costs to enable variance and trend analysis\nPrepare and post key journals such as accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income/costs\nAssist in the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure that funds are being deployed effectively\nAssist in year-end statutory processes, handling audit queries and liaising with tax advisors\nOversee the company's compliance with tax legislation and regulations, including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE/NIC.\nIdentify any deficiencies in processes or controls and action improvements\nDeliver any other ad hoc projects as requested by the CFO\n\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nMust have:\nAt least part-qualified as an accountant\n3 years of experience working within audit or in a finance function with high volume transactions\nExcellent knowledge of Excel\n\nNice to have:\nExposure to ERP systems, with Xero being an advantage\nGood working knowledge of UK GAAP accounting standards \nExperience working in an accountancy firm\nExcellent organisational and communication skills \nAbility to adapt and respond to changing priorities\nWillingness to learn and be
