The ideal candidate has the business knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon an infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customers. In this role, the systems engineer will design, develop, and integrate complex work systems for every stage of a lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be able to reliably deliver mission-critical infrastructure with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security. \nPrimary Responsibilities: \nHave a strong understanding of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. \nExperience in designing, developing and implementing software systems, applications, and related products. \nProven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices. \n\nWorking technical knowledge of current networks, software protocols, Internet standards. \nWorking technical knowledge of current programming languages. \nAbility to capture requirements at both the management and technical level and break those requirements down into measurable/testable user stories. \nBasic Qualifications: \nA Bachelor or Master's Degree or equivalent experience. \nDemonstrate professional experience in a technical field. \nExperience with Systems Engineering Lifecycle processes and practices. \nHands on experience with some coding/scripting languages. \nDesired Skills: \nExperience working within a cloud environment, AWS preferred. \nExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. \nAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. \nHighly self-motivated with keen attention to detail. \nProven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. \nExperience with different software development methodologies such as Agile, Kanban and Rapid Prototyping. \nExperience with collaboration and tracking tools such as Confluence and Jira. \nAble to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. \nClearance (Required): \nTS/SCI+ \nWhiteboard Federal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
