She/He works directly in a squad to advise and oversee performance against agile values, practices and processes. Working with the IT and Business owners for important products and services, S/He supports the work of the squad by maintaining task backlogs and by facilitating Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. The Scrum Master also monitors teams performance through the squad’s dashboard and helps to identify continuous improvement opportunities to help the team work better and smarter\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \nList, in order of importance, the five to six essential functions, key activities and decision-making areas of the job. It may help to specify the typical target(s) and how success will be measured for each activity.\nFulfills the duties of a Scrum Master, which covers:\nEnforce the rules of Scrum\nHelps the team to self-organize and work effectively within the Scrum framework\nFacilitates different events and makes it effective\nHelps keep a Development Team working at its highest level of productivity\nProtects the team from both internal and external distractions\nHolds the Scrum Team accountable to its working agreements, Scrum values, and to the Scrum framework itself\nResearches and analyzes improvement opportunities; Conducts analysis, prepares recommendations, and facilitates efficiency enhancements\nFacilitates refinement of business requirement documents and specifications in collaboration with System Analysts and Business Analysts\nAnalyzes data and works with management to develop creative solutions; Assists in the review of readiness and break down of stories supporting an iterative and incremental delivery model\nCommunicates and negotiates effectively with the business to clarify needs vs. wants/likes in order to balance business direction/requirements with cost of development as well as risks\nSupports a positive and collaborative digital delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous improvement, development, innovation and excellence, while remaining in compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct. \nIt is accepted and understood that the employee may perform other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS\nIndicate the minimum and preferred education and experience required for this job and any licenses or certifications required to carry out the role competently.\nYears of Work Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development or IT project management is required\nEducational Attainment/ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related \nRequired course (if applicable): field is preferred.\nRequired/Preferred Certification/Professional License (if applicable): \nScrum certification (such as Professional Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Master, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner)\nField of Specialization (if applicable): \nKnowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework\nAbility to facilitate and lead Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)\nGood understanding of project management and experience in managing cross-functional teams\nUnderstanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)\nKnowledge of project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.)\nUnderstanding of DevOps practices and tools\nKnowledge of banking systems and
