In two or three sentences, describe why the job exists and what the work involves.\nThe Test Manager is accountable for planning and coordination of software quality testing. S/He is responsible for the planning, preparation, development and coordination of simple to medium complexity tests to verify if SBC's IT solutions meet functional, performance and scenario quality metrics. S/He is an individual contributor within the Testing Center Of Excellence of the CIO organization and supports the Test Leads in their responsibility to coach and supervise the Test teams and Test Analysts.\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \nList, in order of importance, the five to six essential functions, key activities and decision-making areas of the job. It may help to specify the typical target(s) and how success will be measured for each activity.\nPlans, coordinates and ensures execution of software quality tests according to SBC quality standards and policies; Collaborates with Technology Delivery Managers, Engineering teams, System Analysts and other relevant stakeholders to define and plan all required test activities; Creates a thorough testing strategy at the beginning of each project that determines the overall trajectory of testing on the project; Creates and updates the Test Plan, Test Strategy, and Test Estimates. \nDefines the testing activities for (Junior/Senior) Test Analysts; Work with Test Leads and (Junior/Senior) Test Analysts to ensure test execution is on time and within scope and quality; Supervises, mentors and coaches (Junior/Senior) Test Analysts; Updates Project Managers, Technology Delivery Managers and Test Leads regularly about the progress of testing activities; Prepares the status report of testing activities \nDevelops and maintain test cases to ensure comprehensive testing of the requirements using approved test tools; Ensures traceability of test cases back to requirements \nEnsures that the team has all the necessary resources to execute the testing activities, and that all defects are documented, tracked, managed, and escalated as required; Supports defect triage as required; Monitors, measures and controls test efficiency and quality, and aligns required adaptation with relevant stakeholders\nDevelops and ensures maintenance of test documents such as but not limited to Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Data, Test Evidence, and Datasheets for automation in the document repository\nSupports a positive and collaborative delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous improvement, development, innovation and excellence while remaining in compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct. \nJOB QUALIFICATIONS\nIndicate the minimum and preferred education and experience required for this job and any licenses or certifications required to carry out the role competently.\nYears of Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a \nminimum of 1-2 years of experience leading Test Analysts in a banking environment.\nEducational Attainment/ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A\nRequired course (if applicable): degree in testing or quality assurance is also common.\nRequired/Preferred Certification/Professional License (if applicable): \nProfessional certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board, ISEB - Information Systems Examination Board, and QAI - Quality Assurance Institute\nProfessional Certifications in Project Management such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner\nProfessional Certifications in leadership such as PMI-ACP, Scrum Master (CSM)\nCertifications in test management tools and software, such as HP Quality Center, JIRA, and TestRail\nCertifications in testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit.\nField of Specialization (if applicable): \nStrong test management skills: experience leading and managing testing and quality assurance activities and teams, and be able to effectively plan, organize, and manage test resources.\nLeadership and mentoring skills: lead and mentor a team of test analysts including external and internal resources, and be able to effectively manage their performance in software tests\nStrong technical skills: good understanding of different technology systems and be able to work closely with technical teams to ensure that projects are delivered to the required quality standards.\nKnowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall\nKnowledge of testing methodologies, techniques and best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test Automation, and Continuous Testing\nKnowledge of test management tools and software, such as HP Quality Center, JIRA, and TestRail\nKnowledge of testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and
