The role combines product thinking, full-stack \nimplementation, engineering fundamentals, AI-assisted development, and ownership of quality \nfrom requirements through validation. \nResponsibilities \nProduct and business alignment: clarify user needs, business rules, success \nmeasures, assumptions, and first-release scope. \nEnd-to-end implementation: build and connect user interfaces, backend behavior, \nAPIs, and persistent data. \nEngineering quality: implement validation, error handling, automated tests, and reliable \ntransaction or workflow behavior. \nAI-assisted development: use AI tools thoughtfully, provide useful context, review \ngenerated code, and correct or reject unsafe or inaccurate output. \nSecurity and data boundaries: enforce authentication and authorization, protect private \ndata, and avoid trusting client-side controls for critical decisions. \nTechnical judgment: compare alternatives, choose an appropriate level of complexity, \nand explain trade-offs. \nDelivery and operations: provide setup instructions, configuration examples, test \ncommands, known limitations, and a clear route to running the application. \nCollaboration and communication: explain decisions, respond constructively to \nfeedback, and adapt when requirements change. \nQualifications \nHands-on experience building software, and being able to say clearly which parts you \npersonally built. \nSound foundations in software development, APIs, data modeling, authentication, \nauthorization, and integrations.\nAbility to investigate a user or business need, prioritize a useful first release, and define \ntestable acceptance criteria. \nPractical use of AI tools or willingness to demonstrate how AI-generated work can be \nreviewed and validated. \nWorking knowledge of version control, testing, and application setup or deployment \nworkflows. \nClear communication, initiative, collaborative problem-solving, and accountability for \noutcomes. \nStill to confirm: reporting line, any compensation changes that come with the move, and final \nqualifications for the role. \nKey Interview Questions \nUse comparable core questions across candidates. Ask for specific examples, the candidate’s \nown contribution, decisions, outcomes, and lessons learned. A reviewer goes through the \nresults and notes strengths and gaps to look at more closely during the challenge.
