Their core commitment is to provide top quality at reasonable prices, ensuring accessibility for all.\nJob Description\nAbout the role:\nThe Merchandise Planner is responsible for determining the optimal product assortment, quantities, and pricing to maximize sales, maintain healthy stock levels, and achieve target profitability. The role analyzes sales, inventory, costs, and market trends to decide which products and designs should be launched, reordered, reduced, or discontinued, how much to buy, what the initial selling price should be, how stock should be allocated across\nstores and e-commerce, and when markdowns or clearance actions should be initiated. The Merchandise Planner works at the SKU level and is accountable for inventory productivity, including sell-through, stock turn, stock availability, overstock reduction, and gross margin optimization.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDemand and Inventory Planning\n\nAnalyze historical sales, seasonality, and market trends.\nForecast demand at category, design, and SKU levels.\nDetermine initial buy quantities and reorder quantities.\nReview current stock, incoming stock, and target stock levels before making\nPurchasing recommendations\n\nEstablish and maintain min/max stock levels and replenishment parameters for stores and warehouses.\nDetermine safety stock and reorder points.\nMonitor stock availability and proactively identify overstock and stockout risks.\nProduct and Assortment Planning\nRecommend which designs, colors, and sizes should be launched, reordered, reduced, or discontinued.\nAnalyze product productivity and identify top sellers and slow movers.\nOptimize assortment breadth and depth.\nRecommend the most effective allocation of inventory investment across categories and products.\nPricing, Markdown, and Clearance Planning\n\nRecommend initial selling prices for new products based on landed cost, target gross margin, competitive positioning, and expected demand.\nAnalyze sell-through, gross margin, and inventory aging to recommend price adjustments.\nRecommend markdown percentages, promotional pricing, and clearance strategies.\nMonitor the impact of pricing decisions on sales, inventory turnover, and profitability.\nAllocation and Replenishment\nDetermine stock allocation across stores and e-commerce.\nRecommend stock transfers between locations.\nMonitor replenishment performance and ensure stores maintain appropriate stock levels.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or a related field.\n3+ years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory planning, demand planning, or retail analytics.\nStrong analytical and numerical skills.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nExperience with ERP systems such as Odoo.\nStrong command of written and spoken English.\nStrong understanding of retail merchandising, pricing, and inventory
