You’ll be essential to the digital offering which is broken into a technological stack that is comprised of a source, engine, analytic, and a story layer. The engineering team is the technological backbone of the Iris platform working in the ‘engine layer’ to discover the ground truth. You’ll work with a team of engineers and developers designing tools to provide technical solutions to complex questions. The ideal candidate is creative, a problem solver, developer, designer, and appreciates delivering high-quality products. This position will report to the VP of Engineering.\nThis position is 100% remote! It does require 10% travel to the DMV region. The candidate MUST be a US citizen and reside in the contiguous United States. The candidate must be a W2 employee of GeoDelphi, Inc. No 3rd party applications.\nRequirements\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, implement, and maintain application phases.\nContribute in all phases of the development life cycle\nWrite well-designed, testable, efficient code\nEnsure designs are in compliance with specifications\nRecommend changes to improve established application processes\nPrepare and produce releases of software components\nDevelop application code programs\nDevelop and execute unit test plans\nSupport formal testing and resolve test defects\nProvide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions\nEXPERIENCE\nMust have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a software engineering role \nExpert with at least one language and desire good experience with several others (Python, React, Java, etc.)\nExperience with public clouds such as AWS, Google, Rackspace\nExperience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production software\nStrong coding abilities emphasizing quality and testability in your work.\nStrong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes\nDemonstrated experience with continuous integration and software CM processes/tools (GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus, and other DevOps/Continuous Integration tools)\nExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization\nExperience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization\nDemonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within small teams\nDESIRED SKILLS\nExperience interacting with AWS SDK, AWS API, AWS CLI, and AWS CloudFormation\nExperience with population simulation, or other data simulation\nExperience with geospatial engineering \nExperience with Big Data processing tools, such as Spark/Hadoop, Google’s BigQuery, AWS’s Athena and EMR\nStrong data visualization skills\nBenefits\nGEODELPHI BENEFITS\nMedical, Dental, and Vision plans\nUnlimited PTO\nFederal Holiday Paid Leave\n12 weeks of paid Parental Leave\nEmployer paid STD/LTD\nEmployer Paid Life Insurance\n401K plan and Employer Match\nProfessional Development Assistance\nEquity Incentive Plan \nWho we are:\nGeoDelphi, Inc. dba Whitespace is building an Agentic AI, Iris, for global leaders.
