You will work closely with Technical Leads, Product Managers, and business stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and maintainable solutions while helping engineering teams make sound technical decisions. You will act as a technical authority across multiple teams and contribute to the long-term technology strategy of the company.\nYour key responsibilities will include\nDesigning and evolving the architecture of mission-critical fintech products.\n\nDefining architectural standards, engineering principles, and best practices across teams.\n\nLeading architectural reviews and validating technical solutions proposed by engineering teams.\n\nDesigning highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.\n\nDriving system decomposition, domain boundaries, and service interactions.\n\nCollaborating with Technical Leads on complex technical challenges and strategic initiatives.\n\nParticipating in the design of integrations with banking systems, compliance services, and other external platforms.\n\nIdentifying and mitigating technical risks, bottlenecks, and scalability limitations.\n\nSupporting modernization initiatives, architectural refactoring, and technical debt reduction.\n\nWorking closely with Product and Business stakeholders to transform business requirements into sustainable technical solutions.\n\nMentoring senior engineers and technical leaders on architecture and engineering practices.\n\nWhat makes you stand out\n8+ years of backend development experience.\n\nStrong commercial experience with PHP and Symfony.\n\nPrevious experience as Software Architect, System Architect, Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or Lead Backend Engineer with significant architecture ownership.\n\nFinTech, Payments, Banking, EMI, PSP, or Open Banking experience.\n\nDeep understanding of OOP, SOLID, GRASP, and design patterns.\n\nStrong experience designing high-load and distributed systems.\n\nStrong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).\n\nExperience with Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, and Event Sourcing.\n\nExperience designing microservice architectures and service communication patterns.\n\nStrong knowledge of PostgreSQL, performance optimization, and database design.\n\nExperience with Redis, message brokers, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing.\n\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native environments.\n\nUnderstanding of system observability, monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.\n\nExperience documenting and presenting architectural decisions.\n\nAbility to balance business goals with technical excellence.\n\nNice to have\nExperience working with platforms processing millions of transactions.\n\nExperience with platform modernization and large-scale migrations.\n\nExperience defining architecture standards across multiple engineering teams.\n\nExperience mentoring Lead Engineers and Senior Engineers.\n\nWhat success looks like in this
