The Electrician is responsible for performing skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with standard practice of the trade. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, on-site role that reports to the Maintenance Manager.\nResponsibilities\nMaintain, inspect, and repair all electrical features of a public facility that operates year-round with high levels of traffic and extensive operating hours.\nEffectively manage a dynamic task list and an extensive preventative maintenance schedule with the ability to adapt and answer immediate needs as they arise.\nAssemble, install, test, maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures using a various amount of trade specific tools.\nMaintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels.\nDocument information in preventive maintenance file on electrical equipment and machinery and monitor a preventive maintenance program.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nLicensed Electrician in the state of North Carolina\nExperience in commercial and industrial electrical work.\nProficiency in working with a variety of basic/specialized hand and power tools.\nBasic knowledge of building equipment, building codes, and building systems.\nAbility to read and interpret documents with strong attention to detail - e.g., safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, hydraulic and electrical prints, and other manuals.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nProficiency in basic computer skills.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize tasks efficiently.\nOccasional travel to Whitewater Outpost locations.\nFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during other Whitewater events as needed.\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.\nMust be able to stand for sustained periods of time.\nMust be able to lift and move at least 50+ pounds.\nMust be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.\nMust be able to work at heights.\nMust be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time under varying weather conditions.\nAll positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.\nBenefits:\nAccess to Whitewater Center's pass activities\nStaff discount program and pro deals\nHealth, Dental, Vision\nFlexible Spending Account\n401(k)\nOverview of Department\nThe Facilities Department is responsible for facility maintenance, water quality, construction, landscaping, and trail development.
