This includes but is not limited to; front-end loader, dozer, skid steer, mini-excavator, lull, walk-behinds, tractors, etc. Projects vary from clearing, scraping, grading, spreading, and compacting, while managing different types of materials in the process. This position can be part-time or full-time benefits eligible, on-site and reports to the Facility Maintenance Manager. .\nResponsibilities\nAbility to operate heavy equipment in a safe and productive manner\nAbility to identify the proper piece of equipment and material for the job\nPerform equipment preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting\nOperate equipment to proficiently grade for slopes, contours, and finish grade for paving projects\nMaintain clean equipment and ensure it is secure when not in use\nDetailed knowledge of materials and methods used for a variety of surfaces and projects\nPerform other duties as assigned\nRequirements\nMinimum of 5 years of previous heavy equipment operating experience \nAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment\nFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during other Whitewater events as needed\nKnowledge of proper rigging and towing procedures preferred \nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.\nMust be able to stand for sustained periods of time.\nMust be able to lift and move at least 50+ pounds.\nMust be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.\nMust be able to work at heights.\nMust be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time under varying weather conditions.\nAll positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.\nBenefits:\nAccess to Whitewater Center's pass activities\nStaff discount program and pro deals\n401K\nHealth, Dental, Vision, FSA (FT only)\nOverview of Department\nThe Facilities Department is responsible for facility maintenance, water quality, construction, landscaping, and trail development.
