The role ensures reliable performance, limits unauthorized access and maintains tested recovery capabilities for critical business systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEnterprise Networking\n\nDesign, configure, and maintain on-premises and Azure network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.\n\nManage Azure virtual networks, subnets, routing, network security groups, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity.\n\nTroubleshoot connectivity issues and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and operating procedures.\n\nHands-on experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and security services, including firewall policies, VPNs, intrusion prevention, web filtering, application control, and threat protection.\n\nZero Trust Network Access & Segmentation\n\nImplement and support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) for secure access to business applications and infrastructure.\n\nApply least privilege access based on user identity, device compliance, and approved business requirements.\n\nImplement network segmentation to isolate sensitive systems and reduce lateral movement.\n\nRegularly review access rules and remove unnecessary or outdated permissions.\n\nCoordinate with identity, endpoint, and security teams to maintain consistent access policies.\n\nFirewall Management & Secure Remote Access\n\nConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, security policies, VPNs, and secure remote access services.\n\nReview firewall rules, network traffic, and configuration changes to identify security gaps.\n\nMaintain firewall firmware and configuration backups and validate changes through established change management procedures.\n\nSupport investigation and containment of network-related security incidents.\n\nNetwork Monitoring & Performance\n\nMonitor network availability, utilization, latency, and service health.\n\nInvestigate alerts, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.\n\nPlan capacity improvements and implement measures to improve performance and resilience.\n\nCoordinate with internet providers, vendors, and support partners to resolve service disruptions.\n\nOn-Premises Server Infrastructure\n\nAdminister physical servers, virtualization platforms, and Windows and/or Linux server environments.\n\nPerform provisioning, patching, hardening, lifecycle maintenance, and capacity management.\n\nMaintain server availability and coordinate maintenance to minimize business disruption.\n\nManage administrative access in accordance with approved security standards.\n\nStorage & Backup\n\nAdminister storage platforms, monitor capacity and health, and manage storage access permissions.\n\nConfigure and monitor backup jobs, retention policies, and protected copies appropriate to business requirements.\n\nInvestigate backup failures and verify that critical systems and data remain recoverable.\n\nMaintain backup documentation and protect backup infrastructure from unauthorized access.\n\nDisaster Recovery & Restore Testing\n\nMaintain recovery procedures for networking, on-premises servers, storage, and backup services.\n\nExecute scheduled restore and disaster recovery tests with relevant service owners.\n\nValidate recovery against agreed recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).\n\nDocument test results, track corrective actions, and support recovery during outages or incidents.\n\nOperational Ownership & Collaboration\n\nOwn assigned incidents, service requests, problems, and changes through resolution.\n\nMaintain accurate infrastructure inventories, technical documentation, and support runbooks.\n\nCollaborate with IT Service Management, Infrastructure, Platforms & Security Operations, and Enterprise Architecture & Innovation.\n\nIdentify opportunities to automate routine work and improve security, reliability, and operational efficiency.\n\nParticipate in scheduled maintenance and on-call support as required.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nHands-on experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and security services, including firewall policies, VPNs, intrusion prevention, web filtering, application control, and threat protection.\n\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, networking, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n5+ years of hands on experience in Network administration and IT infrastructure\n\nDemonstrated experience supporting enterprise networks and on-premises infrastructure.\n\nHands-on experience with Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.\n\nStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and VPNs.\n\nPractical understanding of Zero Trust principles, ZTNA, network segmentation, and least-privilege access.\n\nExperience administering server virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery technologies.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot complex issues, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and business teams.\n\nExperience following incident, problems and changing management processes.\n\nRelevant networking, Azure, security, or infrastructure certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate.\n\nExperience with identity-based access controls and device compliance integrations.\n\nFamiliarity with PowerShell, infrastructure automation, and configuration management.\n\nExperience supporting disaster recovery exercises and maintaining recovery
