We are on a mission to make the world a better place for older adults and disadvantaged communities.\nAbout The Role\nAs our Community Liaison, you'll be the face of Wider Circle in Essex County and other areas of Northern New Jersey like Bergen and Hudson Counties. You'll knock on doors, build partnerships from scratch, and turn those partnerships into real enrollments in our services. This is a full-time temporary position projected to run through the end of 2026, with the potential to convert to a permanent role.\nWhat You'll Do\nGo door-to-door, building partnerships with senior centers, physician offices, hospitals, faith and civic organizations, food pantries, public housing, and local insurance brokers. We will provide a starter lead list and you’ll build on that list as you get to know the market. \nEstablish a regular cadence of meetings and interactions with community organizations to establish trust. Learn their needs and align our offerings to provide support. \nPlan and lead community engagement activities, or attend gatherings hosted by our partners where you will present Wider Circle’s services. \nEstablish direct referral channels from the community-based organizations to Wider Circle's services\nMeet individuals in the community and help them sign up for our services. \nIdentify adults in the community who could benefit from Wider Circle's services.\nHit a weekly target of community organization visits, and keep clean, same-day records of every visit\nBuild lasting partnerships, not one-time referrals - you're the consistent point of contact partners can count on\nRepresent Wider Circle's brand in every room you're in, and bring field intelligence back to the team every week.\nWho You Are\nComfortable in a fast-paced environment where the plan can change week to week\nComfortable working independently and collaboratively\nResilient - you don't get discouraged by a closed door or a slow week, and you keep showing up anyway\nA hunter mentality - self-motivated to go find the next opportunity rather than wait for one to come to you\nA proven relationship builder, comfortable meeting new people and earning trust quickly\nA strong communicator who can explain a program clearly to a stranger in two minutes or less\nRepresent Wider Circle’s core values: Never Break a Promise, Be Transparent, Care Deeply, Foster a Sense of Belonging, Be Accountable, Embrace Diversity. \nRequirements\nBased in Essex County, NJ.
