We’re known for fast, accurate delivery and a deep commitment to technical excellence.\nWe’re looking for a Civil Engineering Technician who’s ready to take the lead - someone who brings deep CAD knowledge, proven production experience, and the ability to guide junior staff while delivering top-tier work on complex projects.\nWhat You'll Do:\n· Lead plan production for site development, grading, stormwater, roadway, and utility projects\n· Design and draft detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D (surfaces, profiles, corridors, pipe networks, etc.)\n· Collaborate with engineers and project managers on technical strategy, deliverables, and timelines\n· Review and redline plans for QA/QC and provide technical guidance to junior technicians\n· Coordinate with survey, GIS, and field teams for integration of site data\n· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize deadlines across a dynamic workload\n· Revise drawings based on redlines and project feedback\n· Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning and design reviews\nWhat You Bring:\n· 5+ years of civil engineering design/drafting experience\n· Expert-level proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.\n· Strong understanding of civil design standards, plan production workflows, and permitting processes\n· Strong understanding of civil design standards, construction documentation, and plan production workflows\n· Excellent communication, time management, and mentoring skills\n· Share your expertise and help develop junior staff\n· Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.\nWhat We Offer\nGrowth Opportunities\nSpecialized training in design, leadership, and business development\nCareer advancement through continuing education, licensure, certification, and technical development\nCompensation & Benefits\nWidseth offers competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications, including:\nSalary range: $ 28.00 to $45.00 (depending on level of experience)\nDiscretionary annual profit-sharing bonuses\nHealth insurance and Health Savings Account (HSA) options\nFlexible benefits\nDental and vision coverage\nLife insurance\nShort- and long-term disability insurance\nPaid time off and paid holidays\nAll offers are contingent on a background check meeting company standard.\nCandidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.\nJoin Us.
