The Production/ Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for providing key support and leadership within the manufacturing plant at East Alton, IL. The Production Supervisor role supports the Department and Operations Managers and is integral in meeting safety, production, and quality objectives. This role assists in ensuring that all facets of production operations are performed safely and efficiently by demonstrating the standards of behavior expected of a Wieland leader. This role will be located in Wieland's East Alton, IL facility.\nBase Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually\nMay be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle. \nAt Wieland, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.\nResponsibilities\nProduction/ Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:\nDirect the day-to-day operations of the team through effective leadership techniques to achieve safety, production, and quality goals.\nDrive the Safety-First Culture; lead and engage in safety improvement initiatives to achieve zero OSHA recordable injuries and prevent near misses. \nEffectively assist in managing the production department in accordance with all workplace policies and the collective bargaining agreement.\nCoordinate work schedules and coverage needs to ensure resources are readily available for a smooth operation. \nSupport the development and execution of standard work procedures and continuous improvement efforts to drive sustainable transformation at the plant. \nAssist in the development of the production team through effective training and coaching.\nEffectively communicate cross-functionally with internal team members to ensure coordination of safety, quality, production, maintenance, and development activities.\nProvide effective employee and labor relations practices compliant with the collective bargaining agreement.\nChampion “customer excellence” through best-in-class delivery performance. \nSupport the Department Manager and Operations Manager with other initiatives and needs as requested. \nExecute and engage the team in the Wieland core values. \n\nProduction/ Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree is preferred\n3 + years’ experience working in a supervisor capacity in a manufacturing plant is preferred.\nAbility to provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a strong team environment.\nKnowledge of equipment maintenance, safety management and process management.\nStrong analysis, critical thinking, and assessment abilities.\nSelf-motivated, high energy and data-driven.\nStrong interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills, and organization skills.\nAbility to communicate and work with people at all levels of the business, internal and external.\nAbility to bring the appropriate people and information together to make timely decisions.\nAbility to shape the course of action through influencing others.\nQualifications\nJoining Wieland’s team gives you…\nBenefits - Starting on Day 1!
