This position will work closely with senior engineers and other team members to deliver high-quality projects that meet client goals and adhere to the firm’s standards. This position requires understanding of all project phases including schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction contract administration.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform analysis, design, and system selection for building applications with support of a senior designer or engineer.\nEnsure conformance of design with applicable building codes and project sustainability goals.\nProvide mentorship and guidance to junior team members\nCoordinate the submittal of documentation for permitting/regulatory review with multiple local agencies and jurisdictions.\nParticipate in the feasibility, conceptual, and early planning of projects through final design, construction and post-occupancy with the guidance of a senior designer or engineer.\nClearly and concisely convey technical solutions and performance objectives while ensuring project alignment with client goals, project design, sustainability objectives, schedule, budget, constructability and post-occupancy performance.\nLead the preparation of design documentation including BIM models, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior designers or engineers.\nCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architecture, engineering, sustainability, construction, and other consultants, to support the integrated delivery of projects.\nConduct research on systems, products, building codes, and sustainable design practices to inform project decisions.\nPerform construction phase and post-occupancy activities including submittal review, construction site observations and commissioning conclusion.\nParticipate in cross-discipline career development. Engage in continuous learning opportunities, attend industry events, and participate in internal training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.\nMINIMUM BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:\nAssociate degree / Technical degree required. Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from accredited engineering program a plus.\n4 - 8 years of related plumbing design experience.\nCPD technical certification a plus.\nLEED or other sustainable building certification a plus.\nSalary Range: $85,000 - $110,000.
