The position assists with internal audits, quality monitoring, performance measurement, and accreditation readiness by preparing data and identifying trends that support informed decision-making. The Data Analyst serves as a resource to Quality Management leadership by gathering information, developing reports and dashboards, maintaining audit documentation, and tracking quality metrics. Responsibility for interpreting findings, directing corrective actions, implementing performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory decision-making remains with Quality Management leadership. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information at all times.\nThis list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nMaintains regular attendance and punctuality.\nCollect, compile, validate, and organize quality and regulatory data from multiple organizational sources. \nPrepare recurring reports, scorecards, and dashboards for Quality Management leadership. \nAssist with data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. \nMaintain databases supporting quality, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance activities. \nProduce routine reports for committees and executive leadership. \nAssist Quality Management staff with planning and conducting internal audits. \nGather documentation and evidence requested during internal and external surveys. \nPerform medical record reviews and data abstraction under the direction of Quality Management leadership. \nTrack audit findings and assist with documenting compliance rates. \nMaintain audit schedules and supporting documentation. \nAssist with Joint Commission, CMS, IHS, CLIA, and other regulatory readiness activities by collecting and organizing required documentation. \nMaintain electronic and hard-copy survey readiness files. \nPrepare data requested for mock surveys, tracers, and accreditation reviews. \nSupport continuous survey readiness through routine monitoring activities. \nTrack organizational quality indicators and performance measures. \nMaintain logs for quality metrics, patient safety events, risk management activities, and performance improvement projects. \nMonitor reporting deadlines and notify Quality Management leadership of upcoming reporting requirements. \nAssist with benchmarking and trend reporting. \nMaintain a centralized corrective action tracking database. \nRecord assigned corrective actions, responsible departments, due dates, and completion status. \nCollect supporting documentation submitted by departments. \nPrepare status reports for Quality Management leadership. \nMonitor completion timelines and notify leadership of overdue corrective actions.\nPrepare committee reports, graphs, and statistical summaries. \nAssist in developing presentation materials. \nMaintain committee records and quality performance documentation. \nSupport data requests from organizational committees and leadership. \nEnsure accuracy and integrity of quality databases. \nPerform routine quality checks of collected data. \nMaintain confidentiality of protected health information. \nAssist with developing standardized reporting tools and templates.\nPosition requires occasional travel within the service area and periodic overnight travel for training, conferences, and professional development.\nRequires completion of tasks or duties assigned by a supervisor.\nUpholds all principles of confidentiality and patient care to the fullest extent. \nAdheres to all professional and ethical behavior standards of the healthcare industry.\nAdheres to WIHCCs Personnel Policies and Procedures, departmental policies, rules, and regulations.\nInteracts in an honest, trustworthy and dependable manner with patients, employees, visitors, and vendors. \nPossesses cultural awareness and sensitivity. \nMaintains compliance with all Human Resources requirements. \nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Health Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Data Analytics, or a closely related healthcare field is required. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in healthcare data analysis, quality improvement, healthcare information management, or regulatory compliance. Experience with healthcare quality reporting and internal audits preferred. Bilingual skills in English and Navajo language preferred. Must maintain a valid unrestricted and insurable driver’s license. Must successfully pass a background investigation and maintain suitable requirements for a Child Care position.
