This role is responsible for executing experimental work, documenting results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and partnering with production teams to ensure consistent product performance and process efficiency. The Technician will contribute to both new product development and continuous improvement of existing formulations.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n· Formulate, develop, and introduce new products as instructed by the R&D Product Development Manager. \n· Conduct evaluations and perform re-formulation work on existing products according to assigned direction. \n· Complete assigned laboratory projects and provide clear written summaries of project work. \n· Enter formulations—including instructions and QC specifications—following established procedures. \n· Complete Formula Entry/Change Sheets as required and accurately record project completion in e-Chempax. \n· Collaborate with production personnel to support process modifications and identify process improvements. \n· Perform calibration of laboratory equipment and maintain accurate calibration records.\n· Review and sign off on relevant documents to acknowledge understanding of role-related responsibilities. \n· Conduct analytical testing using laboratory instruments to ensure product quality and compliance. \n· Dispose of wet samples that have exceeded their retention date according to safety and environmental procedures. \n· Other duties assigned by management\n\nEducation/Experience\nAssociate degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred. \nPrior laboratory or ink/coating formulation experience is beneficial. \nFamiliarity with analytical testing equipment and lab safety protocols.\n\nCompetencies\nHigh attention to detail with accuracy and precision in laboratory work. \nSkilled in technical documentation and project record-keeping. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and perform tasks independently when needed. \nStrong color matching ability. \nExcellent organizational habits and consistently neat work practices.\n\nWorking Conditions:\nLaboratory setting with regular handling of chemicals, samples, and specialized equipment. \nCollaboration required across R&D, production, and quality teams.\n\nEffort/Physical Demands:\nConstant communication with employees, peer, managers.\nMay be required to work outside of normal working hours\n\nHealth and Safety Responsibilities:\nMust work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures.\nMust use or wear equipment, protective devices, or certain clothing as required by the company.\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive pay and overtime opportunities\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\nPaid time off and holidays\n401(k) \nEmployee Stock Ownership Plan \nCareer development and training opportunities\nClean, safe, and team-oriented work environment\n\nThis position contributes to quality products by ensuring overall compliance to defined Product Specifications, the Quality Management System, and the Quality Policy.
