This role involves custom color formulation, lab proof creation, and press-side technical support to ensure inks meet exact customer specifications. You will be responsible for mixing base colors and vehicles, managing ink inventory, and recycling returned inks. The ideal candidate will actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and customer satisfaction.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\nPerform on-site custom color matching, including preparation of professional lab proofs for customer approval.\nProvide press-side technical services to troubleshoot and support production runs.\nBlend and mix base colors and vehicles to produce inks that meet specific color and performance standards.\nOversee inventory control, including recycling of returned inks from press operations.\nParticipate in Customer-Focused Process Improvement (CFPI) initiatives to drive efficiency and profitability.\nMaintain quality and safety standards while working day shift hours, with occasional flexible or on-call support.\nConstant communication with employees, peer, managers.\nOther duties as assigned by management\n\nEducation/Experience\nBasic knowledge of experience in color matching.\nBasic knowledge of handling inks, including preparation, mixing, and recycling.\nStrong customer focus and commitment to meeting client specifications and deadlines.\nWillingness to work flexible hours as needed and provide on-call technical support.\nHigh School Diploma/ GED or equivalent\n\nCompetencies\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nWorking Conditions:\n30% office based; ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.\n70% standing/walking, climbing, bending, twisting, reaching.\n\nEffort/Physical Demands:\nMay be required to work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of production.\n\nHealth and Safety Responsibilities:\nMust work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures.\nMust use or wear equipment, protective devices, or certain clothing as required by the company.\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive pay and overtime opportunities\nHealth, dental, and vision insurance\nPaid time off and holidays\n401(k) \nEmployee Stock Ownership Plan \nCareer development and training opportunities\nClean, safe, and team-oriented work environment\n\nThis position contributes to quality products by ensuring overall compliance to defined Product Specifications, the Quality Management System, and the Quality Policy.
