Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which includes a background check as well as drug and alcohol screening.\nMISSION STATEMENT:\nCullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism is dedicated to improving quality of life through exceptional parks, facilities, events, and recreational opportunities for all.\nPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:\nStrategic Planning: Collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance athletic offerings.\nProgram Management: Oversee the organization and administration of indoor and outdoor sports programs and leagues to ensure effective operation and participant satisfaction.\nStaff Supervision: Supervise program staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to department standards.\nFacility and Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the scheduling of facilities and oversee the maintenance of sports equipment and areas to ensure safe and operational conditions.\nCustomer and Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with participants, parents, and vendors, ensuring contracts are upheld and customer needs are met promptly.\nEvent Coordination: Organize and manage special events, camps, and athletic programs, aligning them with strategic department goals.\nSafety and Compliance: Implement and monitor safety protocols across all programs to ensure participant safety and compliance with regulatory standards.\nMarketing and Promotion: Assist with marketing efforts to increase program visibility and participation.\nProgram Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and implement improvements to enhance service delivery and participant satisfaction.\nRecord Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of program operations, registrations, and outcomes for reporting and assessment purposes.\nFiscal Oversight: Manage the budget for athletic programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility in the allocation and expenditure of funds, and prepare budget reports for review by the Athletic Director.\nAttends all meetings as requested by the Athletic Director.\nActs as a team member with other Parks and Recreation staff, embracing and supporting the vision and mission of the CPRST Board of Directors and the City of Cullman.\nMaintains sound business and financial procedures in accordance with Federal and State laws, and CPRST system policies.\nExhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics, working amicably with the Park Board, the Executive Director, Administrators, Personnel, and Community.\nExhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.\nWorks a minimum of a forty-hour work week, which will likely include nights and weekends, with hours varying based on time of year, events, and projects.\nPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisors.\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT:\nPosition will often require sitting at a desk as well as supporting indoor and outdoor athletics programs. Position may involve set-up/tear down for programs.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nMust be able to occasionally lift up to fifty pounds as well as sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
