We are a culture that obsesses over impact, challenges, and drives what’s next to power infinite possibilities for our customers, colleagues and society at large.\nAbout the Role:\nThe main objective of the Marketing Automation Developer is to build, test, deploy, and support digital marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related marketing automation technologies.\nThis role is part of a team of technical specialists and involves working closely with marketing stakeholders to design, build, manage, and execute digital marketing campaigns with an emphasis on customer and prospect engagement programs across the Wiley portfolio.\nThe Marketing Automation Developer will be responsible for delivering high-quality campaigns and automated customer journeys while ensuring data accuracy, technical excellence, and adherence to established processes and governance standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild, test, deploy, and support digital marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.\nDevelop and maintain email communications, customer journeys, and automated marketing programs.\nCreate and manage a suite of standard email templates.\nPerform technical testing and quality assurance activities prior to campaign launch.\nSupport audience segmentation, campaign data management, and campaign personalization activities.\nSupport campaign briefs, including discovery and scoping of new data requirements.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve campaign, audience, and platform-related issues.\nSupport integrations between marketing automation platforms and other marketing technology solutions.\nCollaborate with marketers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical campaign solutions.\nManage multiple campaigns and competing priorities while meeting production deadlines.\nMaintain campaign documentation and follow established operational standards and processes.\nEnsure campaigns comply with data privacy, consent management, and governance requirements.\nContribute to ongoing process improvements and platform optimization initiatives.\nWhy Join Us\nYou'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for delivering customer communications and engagement programs across a global organization. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading marketing technologies, solve complex business challenges, and contribute to the continuous evolution of Wiley's marketing automation capabilities.\nRequired\nBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.\nHands-on experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.\nExperience building, testing, and deploying digital marketing campaigns within a marketing automation platform.\nStrong understanding of Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, audience segmentation, and campaign deployment processes.\nExperience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical campaign solutions.\nSolid working knowledge of HTML and CSS.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nExperience troubleshooting campaign, data, and platform-related issues.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.\nPreferred\nExperience with AMPscript and dynamic content.\nExperience with SQL and audience segmentation.\nExperience with API integrations and data exchange processes.\nExperience working with CRM systems and customer data platforms.\nDigital marketing experience within a complex or enterprise environment.\nWe power infinite possibilities.\nFor more than 200 years, we've transformed knowledge into discoveries that shape the world.
