The company is dedicated to the success of college students worldwide, having provided courseware to more than 1.9 million students in over 1800 academic institutions.\nzyBooks is looking to hire a part-time Research and Data Analyst to lead the internal and external research efforts in STEM education.\nJob Responsibilities:\nLead and conduct studies to evaluate student efficacy with AI tools.\nLead and conduct research on student learning using zyBooks across disciplines (Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, AI, Math and Stats).\nPublish research results at high-quality conferences and journals to disseminate findings to the STEM education community.\nUse data analytics to assist with the continual improvement of zyBooks' content and platform by assessing effectiveness in achieving learning outcomes and reducing unnecessary student struggle.\nCollaborate with instructors in designing, conducting, and publishing research studies.\nCollaborate with authors, engineers, and instructors to conduct studies for new and existing products or significant platform features.\nCollaborate with engineers to develop early POCs for new tools that improve student learning.\nCreate and maintain appropriate documentation and quarterly research reports.\nRequired Qualifications:\nPhD in STEM education fields.\nStrong background in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research.\nDemonstrated record of research papers.\nStrong understanding of pedagogies relevant to STEM education.\nSQL experience.\nExperience with data analysis and visualization.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nCommitment to innovation in teaching at the undergraduate levels.\nHighly motivated and organized.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPhD in CS or CS education.\nExperience with AI is strongly preferred.\nTeaching experience strongly preferred.\nWe power infinite possibilities.\nFor more than 200 years, we've transformed knowledge into discoveries that shape the world.
