We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in quality, automation, and engineering enablement. You’ll work alongside software engineers, architects, product managers, and technical leaders to build reliable software, develop scalable automation capabilities, strengthen engineering practices, and make quality an integral part of software architecture and development.\nThis is not a traditional QA role. You’ll be an engineer embedded within the development organisation, writing production-quality code and automation, designing frameworks and tooling, influencing architecture and testability, and helping teams build systems that are easier to validate, operate, scale, and evolve.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nDesign and build software, frameworks, tools, and automation that improve product quality and engineering efficiency.\nDevelop scalable automated testing capabilities across APIs, services, integrations, user interfaces, distributed systems, and end-to-end workflows.\nBuild and evolve automation frameworks and shared engineering capabilities that can be reused across teams and applications.\nPartner with software engineers during architecture, design, and development to improve system testability, reliability, resiliency, and maintainability.\nDefine technical approaches for test infrastructure, automated environments, test data, mocks, service virtualization, and dependency management.\nIntegrate automation deeply into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, reliable, and actionable feedback throughout the software development lifecycle.\nDetermine the most effective testing strategy across unit, component, contract, integration, API, and end-to-end layers while avoiding unnecessary or redundant automation.\nIdentify gaps in coverage, reliability, tooling, and engineering processes and build sustainable solutions to address them.\nInvestigate complex defects, automation failures, and production issues; perform root-cause analysis; and develop solutions that prevent recurrence.\nImprove the performance, reliability, observability, scalability, and maintainability of automation and test infrastructure.\nContribute directly to application and service code when needed to improve testability, instrumentation, reliability, or system behavior.\nCollaborate with architects and engineers on technical designs to ensure quality, resiliency, observability, and operability are considered early in the engineering lifecycle.\nLead technical discussions and influence engineering standards related to automation, software quality, reliability, testing strategy, and continuous delivery.\nExplore and apply AI-assisted engineering approaches to areas such as test generation, intelligent automation, failure analysis, coverage analysis, defect detection, and engineering productivity.\nEvaluate emerging AI-enabled development and automation tools, frameworks, and patterns and determine where they can meaningfully improve speed, reliability, and maintainability.\nMentor engineers and help raise automation, software quality, and engineering capabilities across the organization.\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to a highly collaborative engineering culture.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nStrong software engineering experience with significant hands-on experience designing and building automated testing solutions.\nStrong programming skills in one or more languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or similar.\nExperience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using technologies such as Playwright, Cypress,\nSelenium, or comparable tools.\nStrong experience testing APIs, backend services, integrations, data flows, and distributed systems.\nExperience with modern software architecture and the ability to understand complex interactions across applications, services, infrastructure, and data layers. \nStrong understanding of unit, component, contract, integration, API, and end-to-end testing strategies.\nAbility to make sound engineering decisions about what should be tested, where it should be tested, and which level of automation provides the most value.\nExperience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery workflows.\nExperience debugging complex systems and performing root-cause analysis across application, service, data, infrastructure, and automation layers.\nStrong understanding of software design principles, maintainability, testability, observability, and engineering best practices.\nExperience with Git, GitHub, pull-request workflows, and modern software development practices.\nExperience contributing to engineering architecture, technical design, or platform-level decisions.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools, AI frameworks, agents, or AI-enabled automation, or a strong interest in experimenting with emerging AI-driven engineering approaches.\nCuriosity about how AI can improve software development, automation, test generation, failure analysis, defect detection, and engineering productivity.\nFamiliarity with technologies such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, MySQL, observability platforms, and DevOps practices is a plus.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, product teams, and technical leadership.\nExperience mentoring engineers and improving technical practices across a team.\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with an international engineering organization.\n\nWhy Join
