As a Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that power millions of user interactions globally. You will practice high-quality development methods including writing unit tests automated tests and adhering to code standards to ensure the reliability and scalability of our software solutions. Working both independently and collaboratively you will partner with team leads architects business analysts and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions with dedication to quality and timely delivery.\n\nYou will actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including daily meetings refinement sessions planning meetings and retrospectives contributing to a culture of agility and continuous improvement. Your involvement will facilitate efficient communication alignment and adaptation within the team while driving process improvement initiatives.\n\nSkills and Qualifications\nCore Technical Skills:\nProficiency in Java development\nUnderstanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns\nExperience with web APIs (REST/GraphQL)\nKnowledge of cloud services predominantly AWS\nExperience with microservices and related technologies like Kubernetes Docker\nData storage technologies (Entity Framework Postgres SQL DynamoDB)\nSQL and experience with both relational databases and NoSQL databases\nSoftware architecture and system design understanding\nFamiliarity with writing unit tests such as JUnit Mockito etc.\nHands-on experience using Spring boot.\n\nDevelopment Practices:\nAgile methodologies\nExperience with JavaScript and modern frameworks (React ExpressJS)\nKnowledge of HTML CSS and web technologies\nExperience with version control systems (Git)\nUnderstanding of CI/CD processes and automated testing\n\nAdditional Technologies:\nExperience with XML Apache (for specific roles)\nKnowledge of CSS DHTML and web development best practices\nExposure to educational technology platforms and content management systems\nExperience with TypeScript NPM/Yarn package management\nKnowledge in messaging queues such as Apache Kafka JMS and related technologies.\n\nProfessional Qualities:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent written and oral communication skills across teams of varying technical expertise\nAbility to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision\nPassion for technology and willingness to learn and progress\nEagerness to take on new challenges\nAbility to work in fast-paced dynamic environments\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\n\nAI Proficiency & Collaboration\nCandidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance software development productivity and quality.
