The Practice Manager is responsible for all activities of a dental office to ensure efficient and effective operation in the caring for dental patients; ensures that corporate policies and procedures are implemented and followed.\nEssential Position Functions\nTake ownership of entire office staff including, but not limited to, customer loyalty, employee engagement, financials, marketing, staffing, facilities, patient count, office efficiencies and legal compliance.\nRegularly monitor all key performance areas of office, e.g., budget, staffing levels, schedules, OTC collections, Balanced Scorecard objectives, outside & internal referrals, doctor productivity; and makes adjustments as necessary.\nRegularly identify opportunities for, and threats to, success of overall office and takes action.\nEnsure that all company policies and procedures are followed and that all core values are exemplified and propagated throughout the office.\nEnsure that every patient encounter is a “wow” experience.\nEnsure that all patient access standards are met at all times.\nEnsure work environment is safe & healthful at all times, and that all work practices comply with OSHA/OR-OSHA/WISHA requirements.\nResolve patient complaints.\nForecast and monitor staffing needs and recommend adjustments as necessary.\nCoach and mentor staff by example and through timely use of clearly communicated\nexpectations, action plans, progress meetings, performance reviews, etc.\nEnsure productive, team-oriented work environment free of harassment and other undesirable, non-productive behaviors.\nConduct regular staff meetings to provide information to staff and solicit feedback from staff.\nEnsure achievement of all financial goals, e.g., EBITDA.\nProvide stewardship of all financial affairs of the office.\nPrepare, submit and monitor entire office budget.\nPartner with marketing department to promote Willamette Dental to current and prospective customer, employer groups, brokers, etc.\nEnsure that all legal requirements are followed, e.g., HIPAA, FDA.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree highly preferred but not required, and a minimum of two years’ experience in management role preferably in healthcare OR equivalent combination of education and experience which will provide the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration is desirable. A demonstrated background in significant leadership roles with a history of setting and achieving “stretch” goals is preferred.\nExpected hourly hiring range for this position depending on experience:\n$31—$38 USD\nCompensation\nThe actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. \nThis position is also eligible for incentive pay in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan.\nCompany Benefits\nWillamette Dental offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical, dental and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) retirement plan with 5% match, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, life insurance, voluntary disability insurance, commuter benefits, two complimentary pairs of Fig scrubs (clinical roles), and employee assistance program.\nPaid Time Off (PTO): Eligible employees will accrue a minimum of 120 PTO hours per employment year in addition to seven paid holidays annually. The Company’s PTO program combines vacation and sick leave, which is more generous than Washington State’s Sick Leave Law. Employees in part-time roles working less than 40 hours per week will accrue PTO on a pro-rated basis.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe work is primarily performed while sitting and/or standing, but will require occasional walking, bending, stooping and carrying light items such as papers, books, or other supplies.
