This is a great opportunity to build your experience within a supportive Finance environment, playing an important role in maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting healthy cash flow across the business.\nWorking with colleagues across Finance and Commercial teams, you’ll become a key point of contact for a portfolio of customers and help ensure accounts are managed accurately and effectively. With plenty of variety and collaboration, the role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your credit control and accounts receivable expertise while being part of an exciting period of transformation.\nPlease note, this role requires 4 days in the office at Arete, Cumbernauld.\nMain Responsibility\nManage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected and allocated accurately and promptly across a multi-currency debtor ledger.\nProactively follow up overdue invoices by telephone and email, agreeing clear payment actions with customers.\nInvestigate unallocated cash and work with customers and internal teams to obtain remittance information and resolve discrepancies.\nReconcile customer accounts and resolve routine payment queries, deductions and allocation differences.\nMonitor aged debt and account balances, escalating more complex issues or areas of concern where appropriate.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date account records, including collection statuses, notes and follow-up actions.\nWork collaboratively with Finance, Commercial and other internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and account queries that may delay payment.\nSupport customer communications, including statements and payment reminders, and provide regular updates on collections, cash allocation and overdue balances.\nFollow agreed credit control processes while identifying opportunities to improve ways of working and enhance customer service.\nOur Ideal Candidate\nYou’ll have some experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, cash allocation or a similar finance environment, with strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
