Our culture fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning to position our team members to inspire each other and provide quality products and supporting services that exceed the expectations of our customers.\nThe Opportunity\nWilliams International has an exciting opportunity for a Automation Engineer to join our team.\nThis position is 100% on-site.\nThe Automation Engineer's responsibilities will include:\nCreation, modification, and execution of comprehensive manufacturing and/or automation processes including process planning, mechanical design, process documentation, gaging strategies, tooling solutions and work holding design\nCNC Program creation for milling and turning processes\nPerform on-machine program validation and optimization\nDefinition of automation cell requirements, creation of 3D concepts, and completion of detailed designs (NX design experience preferred)\nLead CNC programming integrations with automated cells during project launches.\nDevelopment of implementation of established and advanced manufacturing and automation process technologies\nResponsible for coordination and follow-up of engineering assignments through communication with other concerned personnel.\nCollaborate with automation team to ensure project deadlines are achieved.\nSupport production needs on automated programs to include but not limited to: Part quality, DRs, Program errors, manufacturing deficiencies, Globalizing corrective actions, Machine troubleshooting \nComplete tool proofs, setup-sheets, BOP updates for automated NC programs.\nContribute to the team’s evaluation of automation capabilities on parts / part families.\nTroubleshooting and deep diving efforts related to manufacturing processes, automation equipment, CNC programs, and manufacturing quality\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing with at least 4 years of relevant experience with machining processes (preferably in automated environments).\nThorough understanding of detailed engineering drawings and specifications\nAdvanced proficiency in the interpretation of GD&T requirements and inspection methodologies\nExperience specifying, designing, and/or launching automation\nU.S. citizenship is required\nPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
