Our culture fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning to position our team members to inspire each other and provide quality products and supporting services that exceed the expectations of our customers.\nThe Opportunity\nWilliams International has an exciting opportunity for a Special Process Technician to join our team on Weekend Day Shift in 8545 Structures.\nThe Special Process Technician will have responsibility for the operation of a CMM inspection machine and other inspection equipment to verify that parts are manufactured to specified requirements. All Cell Specialists are also responsible to ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the assigned cell.\nAdditionally, the Special Process Technician will:\nOperation and inspection of all types of processes within Structures.\nManufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.\nMaintain accurate and reliable documentation. \nRemove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements.\nMaintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.\nCommunicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.\nPerform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.\nClean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.\nQualifications\nHigh School or GED and a minimum of two years of experience in production. Effective interaction with team members, capable of inspecting parts in accordance to the blueprint and effectively communicating the results, a good understanding of GD&T, proficient using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages and comparators and a basic understanding of machining processes.\nMust be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist. (Note - must use a lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)\nMust be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.\nMust have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.\nU.S. citizenship is required\nPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
