The role of Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineer will be instrumental in improving the efficiency of secure software development and maintainability. This role will be responsible for researching software technologies, presenting potential solutions to stakeholders, then working with IT infrastructure and Cybersecurity to implement and maintain them. In addition, the enablement engineer gets feedback from, and provides guidance to, developers under the effort of continuous improvement of software development and maintainability.\nThis position is 100% on-site. U.S. Citizenship is required.\nThe Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineer responsibilities include:\nCoaches on DevOps best practices\nImprove software delivery workflows\nAssists Platform Engineering with onboarding teams to share pipelines and tooling\nHelps configures and optimize CI/CD pipelines\nGuides automation across build, test, and deployment workflows\nAssists development teams with operational readiness\nCollaborate with Security to ensure secure SDLC practices are adopted\nWork in a team environment with shared code with disciplined use of source code control and process documentation.\nAdhere to and contribute to improving coding and deployment standards.\nRespond to developer feedback and develop solutions to satisfy their needs.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science with 6+ years of related experience. \nMust have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.\nStrong math and statistics skills are required.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills are essential.\nExtensive knowledge in and experience with establishing DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, for a team.\nHeavily experienced with selecting, implementing, and using software development tools, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., Git and Jira) personally and for a group.\nIssue Tracking, Source Code Repository, security (SCA, SAST, DAST, Secrets Management, Authentication/Authorization), and Observability (Logs, Metrics, Traces, Visualization)\nExtensive knowledge in and experience with containerization tools Docker and Kubernetes.\nProficiency in multiple programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, SQL, JavaScript, PHP, or Java.\nVisual Studio experience desired with ASP.NET / Razor Pages / MVC / MVC Templating / C# / CSS / UI Design & Coding.\nWorking knowledge of popular web-development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is beneficial.\nAdvanced analytics development and support experience is desired.\nWorking knowledge of relational database systems including MS SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, with proficiency in designing and maintaining tables, views, stored procedures, and related database objects. \nFamiliar with Micro Services or WCF Service solutions.\nWorking knowledge of developing webservices with REST APIs.\nU.S. citizenship is required\nPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
