Our culture fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning to position our team members to inspire each other and provide quality products and supporting services that exceed the expectations of our customers.\nThe Opportunity\nWilliams International has an exciting opportunity for an electronics Technician to join our team on 1stshift.\nThe Electronics Technician is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and servicing electrical and electronic systems and components for engine test cells, electrical accessories for R&D test and production engines and associated accessories.\nAdditional responsibilities include:\nAssembles, maintains and repairs test cell electrical components, fixtures, wiring systems, control panels, and electrical engine accessories.\nPerform assembly and fabrication of engine test cell electronic components, fixtures, and wiring systems.\nAssemble and fabricate production engine wiring harnesses and other electrical engine accessories. Instructions may range from verbal and simple diagrams to detailed process planning.\nMaintain and repair miscellaneous electrical/electronic plant, production, and testing systems.\nDocument completed tasks, changes, modifications, and as-built drawings of electrical systems and assemblies of work performed.\nParticipates in investigation of field failure of electronic equipment or components.\nQualifications\nAssociate's degree or equivalent experience in mechanic, electrical/electronic technology.\n2-5 years of electronic system experience is required; including: \nOperation of basic electronic test equipment\n\nAssembly of electrical/controls enclosures\n\nFabrication of electrical wiring harnesses\n\nBasic electrical and electronic troubleshooting \n\nBasic soldering skills (J-STD preferred)\n\nKnowledge of aerospace connectors and components is desirable \nExperience in strain gauges and accelerometers a plus \nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.\nMust be able to pass Ishihara Color Blindness testing (14 plates) and Jaeger Level 1 vision testing.\nCapable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum). The individual will work throughout the plant facility and will be exposed to a very small usage of electronics cleaners, such as alcohol and other items associated with lead-based soldering (both are very minor amounts of exposure). \nU.S. citizenship is required.\nPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
