We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and secure our on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD automation, cybersecurity best practices, and enterprise monitoring platforms. This role will be responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and highly available platform services while ensuring compliance with security standards. This person will bridge the gap between Dev Ops and IT Infrastructure, fostering a culture of collaboration, speed, and reliability to accelerate our software delivery processes.\nThis position is 100% on-site.\nThe Platform Engineer's responsibilities will include:\nDesign, build, and maintain enterprise-grade on-premises cloud infrastructure\nDeploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize Helm charts for application deployment\nBuild and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks using Python\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Argo CD\nImplement GitOps practices for Kubernetes deployments\nImplement cloud and infrastructure security controls based on industry’s best practices\nPerform vulnerability assessments, security hardening, and patch management\nConfigure and manage IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and certificate management\nIntegrate cybersecurity tools such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, SIEM, and compliance platforms\nDeploy and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Splunk, or similar).\nTroubleshoot infrastructure, application, and security incidents\nCollaborate with development, DevOps, networking, and security teams to deliver secure platform services\nDevelop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures\nEnsure compliance with regulatory and security standards (FAR, DFARS, ITAR, CMMC).\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering\n3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes administration in production environments\nStrong experience with: Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Python scripting, Jenkins, Argo CD, Git, Linux Administration\nExperience with container technologies (Docker/Containerd).\nStrong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPNs).\nExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code and GitOps methodologies\nKnowledge of enterprise storage and virtualization platforms\nExperience with monitoring and observability platforms such as: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Dynatrace, Datadog\nStrong knowledge of: RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security, Kubernetes Security, CIS Benchmarks, Zero Trust principles\nCloud certifications are highly preferred, including one or more of:Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)\nHashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert\nGoogle Professional Cloud Architect\n\nU.S. citizenship is required\nPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
