Based in Sarasota, the successful candidate will serve a growing and increasingly diverse client base throughout Florida and beyond.\nTHE WORK YOU WILL LEAD\nAs a member of Williams Parker's Intellectual Property practice group, you will:\nGuide intellectual property strategy. Advise clients on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and related intellectual property matters, helping them align legal protection with business objectives. \nProtect innovation and competitive advantage. Counsel clients on patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement risk, portfolio development, technology protection, and long-term intellectual property strategy. \nStructure and commercialize intellectual property assets. Draft and negotiate licensing agreements, technology agreements, confidentiality agreements, assignments, and other transactions involving valuable intellectual property rights. \nCollaborate across sophisticated business matters. Partner with attorneys throughout the firm's Corporate, Litigation, Real Estate, Tax, Labor & Employment, and Trusts & Estates practices on matters involving intellectual property assets and protection strategies. \nExpand a growing practice. Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. \nDeep intellectual property experience. Approximately 10+ years of private practice experience advising clients on patent, trademark, technology, and intellectual property matters. \nTrusted business advisor. A demonstrated record of counseling inventors, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, technology companies, and business owners on complex intellectual property challenges. \nStrategic perspective. Significant experience evaluating patent portfolios, intellectual property risks, innovation strategies, and competitive positioning. \nStrong client relationships. A portable book of business and a commitment to developing enduring client and referral relationships. \nExceptional judgment and communication. The ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into practical, business-focused advice. \nProfessional credentials.
