An affiliate of Life-Science Innovations, Farm Service Elevator processes 6.5 million bushels of corn to manufacture over 350,000 tons of poultry feed sold primarily to commercial farms and independent poultry growers throughout Minnesota.\nSummary of Responsibilities: Performs overall general maintenance of feed mill equipment, to ensure optimal production with limited equipment and machine downtime.\nUnder minimal supervision, maintains and repairs mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, conveyor, pump, steam and electrical systems using preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment is performing safely to required specifications\nIdentifies root cause of more complex/difficult mechanical and electrical issues and repairs using welding, fabrication, and electrical/process control knowledge. Notifies appropriate personnel if further attention is required\nPerforms preventive maintenance on all equipment in and around the elevator\nResearch and presents ideas for permanent fix for recurring mechanical or electrical problems\nMaintains written inventory of tools, parts, blueprints and operating manuals and procedures\nKeeps shop clean and organized \nEnsures equipment is in safe operating condition and operates all machinery in compliance with FSE safety and OSHA guidelines\nIdentifies and corrects unsafe conditions.
