Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Database Developer with strong expertise in Perl, Python, Linux Shell Scripting, and MySQL/MariaDB. The candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting database-related scripts across different product versions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Perl, Python, and Linux Shell scripts for database-related applications.
- Develop and maintain MySQL/MariaDB database scripts, queries, and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MariaDB script failures and database-related defects.
- Design and modify Perl/Python/Shell scripts based on product and database requirements.
- Perform testing of scripts across different product versions and environments.
- Analyze defects, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain technical documentation related to scripts, database changes, and troubleshooting.
Required Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in:
- Perl
- Python
- Linux/Unix Shell Scripting
- MySQL / MariaDB
- Strong experience in database development and scripting.
- Experience troubleshooting MariaDB/MySQL script failures.
- Good understanding of SQL, database queries, stored procedures, and database troubleshooting.
- Experience in script development, modification, debugging, and testing.
- Strong Linux/Unix environment experience.
Good to Have
- Experience with AI Agents / Codex.
- Exposure to Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Helix Swarm, Perforce, and Git.
- Exposure to Cisco CDET bug/ticketing system.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
