This is an indoor position.\nOverview of Position:\nThe Shop at Windham Mountain Club is a multi-seasonal specialty retailer that carries a vast selection of equipment, clothing, and accessories for a variety of outdoor activities. The Retail Sales Associate is involved in all areas of The Shop’s soft goods, hard goods, and accessories. They are responsible for providing a premier shopping experience for guests.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop a knowledge of all shop merchandise to better identify and serve guests needs.\nAccurately operate POS systems for retail transactions.\nAssist in the monitoring and control of all inventory of merchandise.\nProactively address all customer needs and questions.\nPerform various shop maintenance and housekeeping duties.\nMaintain knowledge of the ski area, programs, events, daily snow conditions and any other information that aids in your communication with our guests.\nQualifications:\nMust be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.\nMust be able to handle a stressful, noisy and crowded work environment.\nMust maintain a clean and professional appearance.\nHave knowledge of retail sales.\nHave sufficient math skills.\nMust be able to use basic computer systems and POS software.\nMust be able to stand for the entire work shift.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.\nAbility to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders.\nAbility to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.\nRequirements\nAdditional Information:\nThis job posting is intended to provide a general overview of the role and does not represent a complete list of all duties and responsibilities.
