This is an indoor position.\nOverview of Position:\nThe Shop at Windham Mountain Club is a multi-seasonal specialty retailer that carries a vast selection of equipment, clothing, and accessories for a variety of outdoor activities. The Retail Service Technician is primarily involved in ski/snowboard equipment repair and maintenance using sophisticated mounting and tuning equipment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform all aspects of servicing ski/snowboard equipment including but not limited to mounting & adjustments, tuning, and boot fitting\nProactively address all customer needs and questions.\nMaintain all shop equipment and tools.\nOperate POS system.\nOperate ski/snowboard service tools and equipment.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nAdhere to all safety precautions, including use of proper personal protection equipment (gloves, safety goggles, hearing protection, etc.).\nMaintain knowledge of the ski area, programs, events, daily snow conditions and any other information that aids in your communication with guests.\nQualifications:\nBe at least 18 years old.\nHands-on experience mounting and tuning equipment.\nIntermediate knowledge of ski and snowboard construction.\nCustomer service experience preferred.\nMust be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.\nMust be able to handle a stressful, noisy, and crowded situation.\nMust be able to use basic computer systems and POS software.\nBasic math skills.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.\nAbility to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders.\nAbility to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.\nRequirements\nAdditional Information:\nThis job posting is intended to provide a general overview of the role and does not represent a complete list of all duties and responsibilities.
