General Description/Primary Purpose:

Part-time adjunct facultypositionin the School of Music.Adjunctfacultyareemployed on a semester-by-semester basis, as needed, and are non-tenure-earning.

Position responsibilities include butarenot limited to:

• Teach assigned course(s) in accordance with the approved syllabus and courseschedule

• Hold scheduled office hours with frequency and modality as negotiated with department chair.

Working Hours: Part-time

Work Schedule: Varies

Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisoryrole.

Required Licensure: N/A

Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin onAug. 3, 2026.

Compensation:Adjunctfaculty are paid a minimum of $1000 per credit hour.All exceptions must be approved by the Provost or his/her designee.

Required Qualifications: At a minimum, applicants must have earned a master’sdegree in the hiring discipline or closely related field., ora bachelor’sdegree in music with evidence ofsubstantialexperience andexpertisein related field at the time of appointment.

PreferredQualifications:

• Experience teaching at the collegiate level.
• Experience teachingin a Learning Management System (LMS) platform, particularly the Canvas application.

• Experience teaching(insert name of preferred courses) at graduate level.
